Smilepath Returns & Refund Policy


At Smilepath, we want you to feel confident and excited about your journey to a brighter smile. Our policies are designed to be as clear and straightforward as possible, so you know exactly what to expect. Please read our guidelines carefully before placing an order.
We encourage you to consider your decision thoroughly before proceeding, as cancellations and returns are subject to the specific conditions outlined below. Please read our guidelines carefully before placing an order.
Order Cancellations
You can request to cancel your order within 5 days of the purchase date. After this period, we cannot accept cancellations or refund requests, as our team will have already begun processing your custom products.
Impression Kits
For your health and safety, we cannot accept returns on impression kits that have been used.
If your kit is unused and you'd like to return it, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs. We'll issue your refund only after the kit has been inspected and approved.
If you decide not to move forward with treatment after receiving your Treatment plan/Smile projection, we will retain the initial impression kit fee.will be retained and is non-refundable.
Dental Scans
The cost of dental scans is non-refundable, as these fees are paid directly to the dental office. If you miss a scheduled appointment, you will need to pay an additional fee to reschedule.
Clear Aligners
Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities. If our experts determine that you are not the right candidate for our clear aligner treatment, we'll issue a full refund, minus any transaction fees.
Since each set of aligners is custom-made for you, we cannot accept returns once they have been manufactured.
If your first set of aligners don't fit properly, we'll create a new set for you without any extra charges. Just remember that if you have any dental work done after we take your impressions, we can't provide free replacements, as this will affect the fit.
If you are not satisfied with your final results after completing your treatment and following all guidelines, you may be eligible for a refinement. To request this, you must send photos of your teeth with your final step aligners in place.
If approved, an additional fee of $290 will apply for the new aligners.
Retainers
Due to the custom nature and hygiene considerations of this product, all retainer sales are final once manufactured.
We make your new retainers based on the impressions you provide. If your teeth have moved since we took those impressions (for example, if you stopped wearing your previous retainers), your new ones might not fit. If this happens, we can't be responsible for the cost, and you'll have to pay for a new set.
For our existing aligner customers, it's really important to keep wearing your last set of aligners or retainers. This prevents your teeth from shifting and ensures your new retainers will fit properly. If they don't, we'll re-evaluate the fit and get new ones made free of cost, if approved.
Night Guards & Sports Mouth Guards
For hygiene reasons, all sales are final on night guards and sports mouth guards once they have been manufactured. Your night guard and mouth guard are custom-made based on the impressions we receive. If your teeth have moved since your impressions were taken, your night guard may not fit correctly, and a replacement would not be free. We recommend continuing to wear your last retainer to prevent any shifting.
Whitening Kits & Other Oral Care Products
Once opened or used, whitening kits and other oral care products cannot be returned or refunded due to hygiene concerns. However, if the product is unopened and unused, you may return it, but you will be responsible for the return shipping costs. Refunds will be issued once the product has been inspected.
Refund Processing
All approved refunds will be processed within 10-12 business days. The refund will be issued to your original form of payment. The original shipping and handling fees, along with a transaction processing fee, will be deducted from your total refund amount. Please note that the processing fee is non-refundable and varies depending on your payment method. Smilepath is not responsible for items that are lost or damaged during the return shipping process.
